One of the leading private sector banks in India, with more than 200 branches spread across the country wanted a robust and scalable infrastructure for their core banking solution. They also wanted to set up a centralized data center for consolidating their banking operations.

Quadra designed and set up a complete network infrastructure solution, from the data center to the branches, with ease of administration and security as the keystones. Additional services like ODBC connectivity to the Unix based database, centralized reporting and business intelligence modules were also put in place by our team. A key aspect here was that all these solutions were based on different technologies, and effective integration was essential to successful deployment. A cost effective and innovative messaging solution was also conceived and implemented, which got the entire bank online with individual email ids. Additional integration was provided for ATM and regulatory operations.

Quadra also interfaced with the other service providers, from the application vendor to the networking provider, to provide the bank with a single window solution for their enterprise infrastructure. Ongoing support is also provided for all aspects of their network infrastructure, besides interfacing with vendor consultants for current and future initiatives.

A traditional bank with aggressive growth plans wanted its existing outdated network infrastructure at the central office to be replaced with a reliable solution that would keep pace with its growth, as well as provide a focal point of administration for its core banking initiatives.

Keeping in mind the need for minimal disruption, as well as seamless migration from its dated infrastructure, Quadra designed and implemented directory services, database, messaging, patch management and anti virus infrastructure. Directory services were rolled out with ample security and manageability measures in place, and to facilitate efficient integration of features such as software distribution and user management policies. The solution was designed to be scalable, and inter operable with its ongoing core banking initiatives. Anywhere, anytime mail access was implemented for all its employees, enabling them to cut down on communication costs. Quadra also deployed a patch management solution to ensure that all operating systems were current and up to date, to minimize the risk of threats due to vulnerabilities. This, coupled with the centralized directory services greatly reduced administrative burdens, without compromising on security and robustness.
